Thursday Assistance Training

Today's Training Looked Like This:

Bent Over Barbell Rows (strict)
135 x 5; 185 x 5; 235 x 5; 285 x 5; 335 x 2

Close Grip Lat Pulldowns
280 x 4 reps x 6 sets

Ab Pulldowns
120 x 15 reps x 4 sets

Straight Bar Preacher Curls
135 x 5 reps x 3 sets

Preacher Machine Curls
120 x 20 reps x 3 sets

JM Press
115 x 8 reps x 4 sets

Cable Pressdowns
150 x 20 reps x 5 sets

Today was a solid training day.  Steve and FC both benched new Raw PR's.  Steve handled 405 with ease, while FC smoked 255, then missed 265.  I'd like to get him comfortable to where he can hit 265-275 for a third attempt come December.  Jack MacAdoo came down from Skiba's Gym today to join us for some bench work.  Jack has gotten big and strong, he hit 370 in his first shirted bench meet in York recently.  Jack was doing a 'Russian' program and he did 275 for 3 sets of 3 today.

Focused on Upper Back as my chest is still pumping from that deload Monday for some reason, also since I will be at the pro am I will miss my Saturday upper back training.  We were told to bring briefs, a belt, and chucks so I expect to squat and pull while in the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati area.  Flight leaves at 1:55 tomorrow from Newark, and my fathers friend Turfway Ed will be picking me up at the airport.
